I’m Malick Royce LAYINDE, and welcome to RoyLab — my personal laboratory where I forge intelligences, write code like composing poems, and explore the mysteries hidden in data.

Who am I?

AI Engineer by training, storyteller at heart. I navigate between algorithms and imagination, between technical rigor and narrative sensitivity. For me, each AI model tells a story, each dataset hides a secret, and each line of code is an incantation.

My playground: artificial intelligence, data, software developpement, and everything related to technical creativity. I love dismantling black boxes, understanding how machines think, and sharing these discoveries with clarity and poetry.

The RoyLab Philosophy

RoyLab is not an ordinary tech blog. It’s a living logbook where:

  • Quests tell my concrete projects as design adventures
  • Runes capture quick ideas, discoveries, and light reflections

What I Believe

Artificial intelligence is neither magical nor inherently dangerous. It is what we make of it. My role? Demystify, explain, make accessible without oversimplifying.

I believe we can be rigorous without being boring. Technical without being opaque. Passionate without being naive.

Technology must remain in the service of humanity, and each creation must carry a bit of consciousness, a bit of ethics, and a lot of curiosity.

My Journey

Trained in Big Data and artificial intelligence, I’ve explored the arcana of Python, dove into the depths of web scraping, built conversational agents, and experimented with voice synthesis in local languages (like Wolof).

Today based in Dakar, I continue to learn, experiment, and tell stories. Because the best way to master something is to teach it — or at least try.

Why This Blog?

Because I need a space to:

  • Share my mistakes (they’re often more instructive than successes)
